Well, that was intense!
James just finished up his first semester back at school, and what do you know, he pulled off straight As! I knew he would, honestly. I can see how much he absolutely loves this program. What could be better for a shy musician than sitting behind the scenes, optimizing audio? Basically, nothing.
Which is great, because we’ve been going through some really hard stuff the past few months. Right before starting school, he had what he/we though was the beginnings of a UTI. Having had several of those myself, we were able to treat the very beginnings ourselves at home and bring him relief. And then make sure he had the resources to go to the bathroom while he was at school, without me there to help him transfer to the toilet. But, towards the end of the semester, he couldn’t urinate for an entire day. So to the ER we went, where 2L of urine was drained from his bladder. That’s almost 4x the capacity of a normal person’s very full bladder.
But, he started horsemanship therapy! He’s going to be riding throughout the summer, and possibly going into the Fall. And we’re so grateful to have received the resources necessary to continue care at home. Hopefully, over the next few months, he’ll see healing and we can move on to the next obstacle.
