I’m a wife, caregiver, mom, and until recently I’ve also been a full-time student.
It’s hard. Life is hard. Being a mom, I am always being told, is the hardest job in the world. And it is, but the challenges presented with being a mom are not unique.
In this blog, I want to share with you my perspective on life. It’s more than just being a mom.
My husband has MS. That presents unique challenges most days, and mostly because there aren’t a whole lot of people out there who “get” what MS is or what it does. Including doctors, honestly.
Because of his disease, my husband stopped working at the end of 2012, and we moved to Texas in 2013, where we currently reside. So, my full time job is being a mom and a caregiver for my husband, and his full time job is trying to deal with MS and be a dad. Essentially, we’re both stay at home parents.
We homeschool our kids. We have found that our family is less stressed when we don’t have to wake up early to get everyone out the door on time. Rather, we do life with our kids, and they learn how to run a household and function in the world as we all cooperate to keep our home running smoothly.
